MineLife Privacy Policy
The short version
- We never ask for your name, email, phone number, address, age, photo or location.
- You get a random player name like “HappyPanda27”. You can’t type your own name.
- Players talk only with emoji and ready-made phrases. There is no free chat.
- We keep a random ID so we can save your game and keep it fair and safe.
- You can mute, hide, block and report any player, and we check reports.
- We never sell data. We don’t use trackers or advertising tools.
- Questions? Ask a parent to write to privacy@minelife.io.
1. Who we are
MineLife is made by WELOPLAY DOO BEOGRAD (company registration number 22315277), Trg Nikole
Pašića 5, Belgrade, Serbia (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the data processed by the MineLife game servers
and services under minelife.io.
2. What we collect
We only collect what the game needs to work, to save your progress and to keep players safe.
| Data | Example | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Random player ID | A random code created on your device the first time you play | To load and save your game |
| Game profile | Your random player name, progress, items, outfits, house, friends list and settings | To run the game and save your progress |
| Connection data | IP address, device and browser type, game version, server region | To connect you to the right server, keep it working and stop cheating and abuse |
| What happens in a game room | Emoji and ready-made phrases you send, social actions, your position in the world | To show them to other players and to check reports |
| Reports | Who reported whom (by random IDs) and our decision | To keep the game safe |
| Emails you send us | Your message and email address | To answer you |
3. What we don’t collect
- Your real name, email address (inside the game), phone number or home address.
- Your age, photos, voice, video or precise location.
- Free-text chat. Players cannot type messages to each other.
- Payment details. MineLife has no purchases.
- Advertising IDs. We don’t use analytics, advertising tools, trackers or tracking cookies.
4. How we use data
Only to run the game and online play, save your progress, keep the game safe and fair (spam limits, reports, bans, anti-cheat), keep the servers working and follow the law. We don’t build advertising profiles, show targeted ads, contact you or sell data.
Legal bases (EEA and UK): we process data because it is necessary to provide the game you asked to play, and because of our legitimate interest in keeping it safe and fair.
5. Safety
Any player can be muted, hidden, blocked or reported. A report saves a short record of the last few minutes in that game room so we can check what happened; otherwise that record is deleted after 5 minutes. Friends must both agree to be friends. The game keeps your save, settings and random ID in your browser’s local storage; clearing your browser’s site data deletes them.
6. Who we share data with
We never sell personal data or share it for advertising. We only share it with:
- OVHcloud, which hosts our servers;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which runs our domain name and email forwarding and protects our website and services from attacks;
- authorities, when the law requires it or to protect a child or anyone else from harm.
If you play MineLife on a game website or platform, that platform may show ads and process data under its own privacy policy.
7. Where data is stored
Our servers are in the European Union, the United States and Singapore. You usually play on the server closest to you. Where data moves between countries, we use the safeguards required by data protection law.
8. How long we keep data
We never keep personal data forever.
| Data | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Game profile and friends | After 12 months without playing, or straight away when you delete it |
| IP address | Kept only in server memory while you are connected; a scrambled form for stopping abuse within 7 days |
| Connection records without IP address | After 30 days |
| Game room record | After 5 minutes, unless someone reports |
| Reports and safety actions | Up to 90 days after our decision; permanent bans stay while the banned profile exists |
| Emails to us | 90 days after we answer |
| Backups | Within 14 days |
9. Children and parents
MineLife is for everyone, including children. We don’t ask for age and treat every player as if they may be a child. Under the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) we collect only persistent identifiers (the random player ID and the IP address), and only to run the game and keep it safe and working. We don’t let children share personal information through chat.
Parents can see, delete or stop the collection of their child’s data at any time: write to privacy@minelife.io with the friend code shown in the game settings, or use the delete option in the game settings where available. We answer within 30 days.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you or your parent may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and to object to or limit its use. Write to privacy@minelife.io. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
